Look No.1

Recently, I visited the Japanese Cemetery Park located in Hougang, Singapore and its beauty is beyond words. I’ve always felt at peace in cemeteries because to me, it serves as a reminder to make the most of my life.

For that particular day, I opted for a dark blue, flowy dress with cute, little daisies on it which in fact, was the determining factor for my OOTD *winks* I actually intended to go for a reddish-pinkish look so that I could blend in well with the surroundings (which honestly, wouldn’t have been a bad choice as well) but decided that a contrast of colours wouldn’t hurt.

Contrast never goes wrong. Don’t be afraid to mix bold colours together. Although it may be a safer route and sometimes even more appealing to wear related colours that fit into the surroundings, mixing unconventional colours make outfits stand out; blue and green can be best friends if you are daring enough.

The overall aim was to achieve a soft look with a casual vibe. With that in mind, instead of wearing larger-than-life earrings which are undeniably gorgeous, I wore a small, jewel earring to add a little shine. I paired the outfit with heels of the same colour alongside a boxy bag and shortened its length as such because truth be told, it always looks a whole lot more classier like that. Fun fact: both the wedge of the heel and bag are rattan in material & it was a coincidental match! Thank goodness they shared the same characteristics!

Although it’s not a must to match your footwear and accessories, it’s always a good idea if you want to make your outfit look a little less complicated and a little more completed.

…and that basically concluded my look.
